West County Community Farm is the work of many hands.

Kayta and David Plescia founded Green Valley Community Farm in 2017 at Green Valley Farm + Mill near Graton. We met at Caretaker Farm in Williamstown, MA in 2012 and moved to Sebastopol in 2013 to farm with draft-horses at New Family Farm. David spent 3 seasons at New Family Farm while Kayta founded the farm at Russian River Vineyards in Forestville.

We moved from Green Valley to our new location on the Laguna in 2022 and became West County Community Farm. We operate on the former site and fields of Laguna Farm, founded in the 1980’s by Scott Mathieson.

Our mission is to nourish this community while modeling a socially and ecologically sustainable food future.

We are joined in this effort every year by our amazing CSA members and crew members.
