Dear members and friends-of-the-farm!
Happy New Year! We just wanted to send a quick check-in with three exciting announcements…
2022 CSA SIGN-UPS OPENING SOON!
Our CSA program will be back to normal this year… i.e. a six-month avalanche of farm-fresh produce, flowers, strawberries and herbs for your culinary enjoyment. As usual, our CSA program will run from June-December.
If you have friends or family who you’d like to enjoy next year on the farm with, please encourage them to sign up for our waitlist here. (2021 and 2019 CSA members will automatically receive an email as soon as sign-ups open.)
Secondly…
WE’RE MOVING!
It is with bittersweet excitement that we are saying goodbye to the beautiful Green Valley and moving to a very special farm in South Sebastopol.
Formerly the site of Laguna Farm CSA, the new farm land is a serene oasis of ancient valley oaks, whose sprawling arms will shade the garden and picnic benches. The lush fields are nestled along the Laguna de Santa Rosa. Egrets fish in the vernal pools. The evenings alight with the psychedelic calls of redwing blackbirds. Great big red shouldered hawks glide low over the meadows.
And we’ll be just blocks from downtown Sebastopol for a major convenience upgrade. Our new address will be: 1720 Cooper Rd., Sebastopol, CA 95472.
The new farm has over 3-times the cropland of Green Valley and tons more water, which will allow us to expand membership and settle into what we hope are decades of feeding this wonderful community.
We can’t wait to share the new farm and this new era with you!
WE’RE CHANGING OUR NAME!
In light of the move, we have changed our name to West County Community Farm. Over the next few months we’ll be transitioning our email address and domain name to the new name!
Until soon…
See you in the fields,
David & Kayta
